Wakefield Riding for the Disabled Association

 

Thank you to CW Projects at Eggborough for donating a gorgeous Equi-Trek trailer to Wakefield RDA. It carries two ponies and has a small changing area at the front which will be ideal when we take riders off to compete.

 

 

Lloyds Banking Group Community Day

 

An enthusiastic young team from Lloyds at Leeds came and re decorated our indoor school and tidied our picnic area. They have left our viewing area and indoor school lovely and clean and bright.

Thanks Lloyds for your help purchasing the materials and tidying our facilities

 

RDA have a new field for the ponies to graze. Pennine are renting it from a local farmer. Its big enough that we can take hay and haylage off it so we shouldn't be effected by the hay shortages for the next few years. Its great to see them turned out in a group with lots of space to eat and play.

 

Congratulations to Oliver Peace, Gerry Savage and Oliver Bates who gained qualifying dressage scores at the NE & S Yorks. RDA Regionals here at Wakefield on 21st May.

Thank you to all the Wakefield RDA volunteers who ran the event and to the dressage and Countryside Challenge judges.

Here is Chester our new RDA pony. He is 13.2hh and 10 years old. He has done some RDA training and is now working with some of our children. Chester was purchased with a Barnardos Inclusion Grant and is sponsored by Alex and Julie Coe.

Ride your test then enjoy a 30 minute lesson to improve your test riding, ride it a second time and see if you have improved your scores.
