Oliver represented Wakefield RDA at the 2012 National Championships. These were held at Hartpury College, Gloucester during the weekend of the 13th – 15th July.
Oliver rode a horse called Duke from the St Ives (Bingley) RDA group. He competed in the Class 9 Championship Dressage and rode a fantastic test to finish in 6th place. Oliver also took part in the Class 17 Freestyle Dressage and finished in 3rd place. In this Class, he was also the very first winner of the new RDA/Special Olympics rosette for the highest placed rider who is a member of both organisations.
Many thanks go to Elaine and the staff at St Ives (Bingley) RDA for letting Oliver ride their wonderful horse.
On the Sunday, Oliver’s sculpture of a show jumper won the Individual Sculpture competition. This is Oliver’s 4th consecutive year winning the sculpture class.
