Wakefield Riding for the Disabled Association:

The Lister Family from Woolley contacted Wakefield RDA earlier in the year to ask if they could fundraise for us since we were a local charity, of course we said Yes Please!! and they walked the 80 miles Dales Way during their summer holiday and asked their friends to sponsor them. At the time of the walk the weather was terrible with bad rain, and mum Jane told me they would have given up had it not been for their friends back home who had promised sponsor money and the family really wanted to help our riders. The Lister family raised an amazing £770 and with gift aid should come to around £900!!

Wakefield RDA would like to thank The Listers for their kindness and determination to finish the walk in the horrible weather.

RDA Dressage

Thank you to everyone who attended our dressage competition yesterday. Your entry fees will help towards our groups running costs.

There were some lovely horses and nice riding - everyone looked really smart, and unfortunately a few soggy people when the rain came down.

Thank you to our brilliant volunteers who helped the day run smoothly, also to our judges Carol and Pat for giving your time free of charge and to Liz at Equine Images for taking the photographs.

Penny and Ben Compete at Manor Grange Show Centre

Penny and Ben enjoyed a charity competition yesterday. The Riverside RDA group at Bingley held an unaffiliated dressage event to raise funds for their group.

Riders Oliver, Leanne and Sue all won rosettes and had a lovely day out.
