The Lister Family from Woolley contacted Wakefield RDA earlier in the year to ask if they could fundraise for us since we were a local charity, of course we said Yes Please!! and they walked the 80 miles Dales Way during their summer holiday and asked their friends to sponsor them. At the time of the walk the weather was terrible with bad rain, and mum Jane told me they would have given up had it not been for their friends back home who had promised sponsor money and the family really wanted to help our riders. The Lister family raised an amazing £770 and with gift aid should come to around £900!!
Wakefield RDA would like to thank The Listers for their kindness and determination to finish the walk in the horrible weather.
